Privacy Policy for BlockShooter

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed in connection with the mobile application BlockShooter (hereinafter the "App" or the "Game").

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection laws applicable in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland is:

Xinger Solutions GmbH
Seefeldgasse 5
3462 Absdorf, Austria
(Registered office: Wirtschaftspark 8, 3462 Absdorf)

2. Principles of Data Processing

BlockShooter is a 3D puzzle and skill game designed for a relaxed, straightforward play experience:

  • No user account / no registration: You do not need to, and cannot, create a user account in the App. There is no login and no registration.
  • No servers of our own: We do not operate our own server databases for the App and do not store any personal data about you there.
  • No analytics of our own: We do not use third-party analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics) or external crash reporting services, and we do not evaluate your play behavior.
  • Data minimization: We ourselves never collect direct identity data (such as your name, home address or payment data) during normal use of the Game.

Personal data (in particular technical device identifiers, IP addresses and advertising IDs) is processed in the App to the technically necessary extent, primarily by the integrated advertising partners (AppLovin MAX and Google AdMob), by Unity (in-app purchases and technical base services of the game engine) and by the app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play Store).

3. Data Processing Locally on Your Device

The App stores all information required to run the Game exclusively in the internal storage of your device (via Unity PlayerPrefs). This includes:

  • Your current progress (level reached);
  • Your balance of virtual coins ("Coins");
  • Your inventory of power-ups (Extra Slot, Move Shooter, Super Shooter);
  • Unlocked and selected shooter skins;
  • Game statistics (e.g., levels won, win streaks, power-ups used) as well as claimed trophies and challenges;
  • Local settings (music/sound effects, haptic vibration feedback, game speed);
  • Timestamps for waiting periods for free coins and rewarded videos;
  • Your local advertising consent status (privacy notice confirmed, tracking consent);
  • Markers for in-app purchases already made (e.g., "Remove Ads"), so that purchased content is retained and not credited twice.

Important note: This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to us. If you switch devices or uninstall the App, we cannot restore lost progress, levels or coins spent locally. You can unlock purchased content again using the "Restore Purchases" function in the App. If you use a system-wide backup of your operating system (e.g., Apple iCloud Backup or Google Android device backup), game data is backed up by the respective platform operator in accordance with its own privacy terms.

  • Legal basis (EEA/UK/Switzerland): Storing and accessing this local game data is strictly necessary to provide the App functions you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, § 165(3) sentence 3 TKG 2021 in Austria and § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in Germany).

4. Download and Installation via App Stores

BlockShooter is distributed via the Google Play Store (Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC) and the Apple App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd. or Apple Inc.).

When you download and install the App, the store operators process data such as your Apple ID or Google account, device identifiers, installation times and payment methods under their own data protection responsibility. We have no influence on this processing. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective operators:

The store operators provide us in the developer consoles only with aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g., download numbers per country, device types, error rates), from which we cannot draw conclusions about individuals.

5. Advertising and Advertising Networks

BlockShooter is free to play. Development and maintenance of the Game are financed by advertising and optional in-app purchases. The following ad formats are used in the App:

  • Banner ads: An unobtrusive ad strip at the edge of the screen.
  • Full-screen ads (interstitials): Short ad breaks that are shown only outside a running level, namely after a successfully completed level and only after several completed levels (currently after every seventh level).
  • Voluntary rewarded videos (rewarded ads): Full-screen video ads that you can choose to watch entirely voluntarily to receive free coins or power-ups (Extra Slot, Move Shooter, Super Shooter).

5.1 Advertising Partners and Mediation Involved

To manage and deliver ads, we use the mediation platform AppLovin MAX and the connected advertising network Google AdMob:

  1. AppLovin MAX (mediation & advertising network):
    AppLovin Corporation, 1100 Page Mill Road, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.
    Privacy policy: https://www.applovin.com/privacy/
  2. Google AdMob (advertising network):
    Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (for users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) or Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (for all other users).
    Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
    Information on data use by Google: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

As part of mediation, AppLovin MAX requests bids for ad placement in real time from the connected advertising partners (real-time bidding). The partner with the best-matching ad or the highest bid delivers the ad to the App. Additional advertising networks and advertisers (bidders) may be involved via AppLovin MAX; they are listed in AppLovin's privacy policy.

5.2 Data Processed by the Advertising Partners

The advertising SDKs automatically process technical data, including:

  • Device advertising identifiers: The Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android or the advertising identifier (IDFA) on iOS (the latter only if you agreed to tracking in the iOS "App Tracking Transparency" dialog), and where applicable the Vendor ID (IDFV);
  • Device and hardware data: Device model, manufacturer, operating system and version, system language, screen resolution, time zone, mobile carrier, storage capacity, battery level;
  • Network data: IP address (used, among other things, to determine approximate location at country/city level and for fraud detection), connection type (Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G);
  • App and ad interaction data: App name, session duration, ad impressions, clicks, video playback duration and completion, technical loading errors;
  • Consent and privacy status: Whether you agreed to the privacy notice, and the status of the iOS tracking prompt.

We ourselves do not receive this data, do not store it on our own servers and do not link it to you as a person.

5.3 Purposes of Advertising Processing

The advertising partners process the data for the following purposes:

  • Delivery and correct technical display of ads;
  • Billing of ad impressions between mediator, advertising networks and us;
  • Frequency capping, to prevent you from seeing the same ad repeatedly;
  • Fraud and abuse detection (detecting invalid clicks, bot traffic and malware);
  • Measuring ad performance and reach;
  • Only with consent or an enabled advertising ID: Delivery of personalized advertising tailored to your presumed interests and your previous app usage behavior.
  • Personalized advertising & access to device identifiers: The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (in Austria § 165(3) TKG 2021, in Germany § 25(1) TDDDG). You give consent through the privacy notice at the first start of the App and, on iOS, through the "App Tracking Transparency" system dialog.
  • Non-personalized advertising, security functions & billing: If the advertising ID is disabled on your device or tracking was declined, no personalized advertising based on this identifier takes place. Processing that is technically strictly necessary (e.g., IP address for transmission, frequency capping, fraud detection) is based on our legitimate interest in providing the App free of charge, financed by advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

You can change your decision at any time with effect for the future:

  1. Privacy notice in the App:
    At the first start, the App shows a privacy notice with links to this Privacy Policy and to the Terms of Use. You can open it again at any time: in the settings (gear icon), tap "Privacy & Terms".
  2. Device settings on iOS (iPhone / iPad):
    Under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking you can withdraw the tracking permission for BlockShooter at any time. The App will then no longer provide an advertising ID (IDFA).
  3. Device settings on Android:
    Under Settings > Google > All services > Ads (depending on the Android version) you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off personalized ads.
  4. Reset in the App and by email:
    Deleting the app data or uninstalling the App also removes the locally stored consent status. You can also send your withdrawal informally at any time to office@xinger.org.
  5. Industry-wide opt-out options:
    You can also object to interest-based advertising by participating advertising networks through the advertising industry's initiatives:

5.6 Purchase of "Remove Ads" (No Ads)

With the optional in-app purchase "Remove Ads" (noads), banner ads and automatic full-screen ads (interstitials) are permanently disabled. Removal of ads is also included in the "Starter Pack" (starterpack).

Note: Voluntary rewarded videos (rewarded ads) remain available in the Game so that, even after the purchase, you can still earn free coins and power-ups by choosing to watch videos. The advertising SDK therefore remains in the App.

6. In-App Purchases and Payment Processing

In BlockShooter you can purchase optional virtual items:

  • Consumable coin packs (coinpack1 to coinpack3) for power-ups and skins;
  • The consumable "Booster Pack" (boosterpack) with power-ups;
  • The "Starter Pack" (starterpack) with coins, power-ups, a shooter skin and removal of ads;
  • The one-time, permanent purchase "Remove Ads" (noads).

6.1 Payment Processing via App Stores

All purchases are processed directly through your Google Play or Apple App Store account. Payment information (such as credit card data, IBAN, billing address) is processed exclusively by the respective store operator (Apple Distribution International Ltd. or Google Ireland Limited). We never have access to your sensitive payment data.

6.2 Verification and Crediting (Unity In-App Purchasing)

To reliably unlock purchased coins, power-ups or the removal of ads in the App, the App uses the software library Unity In-App Purchasing from Unity Technologies (Unity Technologies SF, 30 3rd Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA or Unity Technologies ApS, Niels Hemmingsens Gade 24, 1153 Copenhagen, Denmark; privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy).

The library receives a digitally signed purchase receipt from the store (containing product ID, transaction ID, purchase time and purchase token), validates it and reports success back to the Game. With "Restore Purchases" you can unlock content you have already purchased (e.g., "Remove Ads") again on the same store account.

In addition, the Unity engine in the App processes technical base data (e.g., device and operating system information, game sessions) as part of the Unity base services. We ourselves do not use this data to analyze your play behavior.

  • Legal basis: Performance of the contract regarding the purchase and provision of the digital content (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the technical base services, our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the App (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Opening External Websites

The App contains buttons that open external content in your default web browser:

  • Privacy Policy & Terms of Use: In the App's privacy notice ("Privacy & Terms"), these buttons open the web pages https://x4apps.com/blockshooter/privacy and https://x4apps.com/blockshooter/terms. The legal notice is available at https://x4apps.com/imprint. When these web pages are accessed, the web server by default records technical access data (server log files: e.g., URL accessed, date and time, browser type and IP address) to ensure the operation and security of the website (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. Contact by Email

If you contact us by email (e.g., at office@xinger.org), we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message, including technical information about your device, in order to review and answer your support request.

  • Legal bases: Answering your support or contract request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in efficient and customer-friendly communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention period: Emails are deleted once your request has been conclusively resolved and no statutory retention periods apply (e.g., 7 years under Austrian commercial and tax law pursuant to § 212 UGB / § 132 BAO).

9. International Data Transfers to Third Countries

Some of the service providers integrated into the App (in particular AppLovin Corporation, Google LLC and Unity Technologies) are headquartered in the USA or operate data centers there.

For transfers of data to the USA, the following applies:

  1. EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF): Where the US companies are certified under the DPF, the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR (and the corresponding decisions for the United Kingdom and Switzerland). Google and AppLovin participate in corresponding data privacy frameworks or commit to their standards.
  2. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): As additional or alternative safeguards, we or our partners conclude the standard contractual clauses approved by the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, supplemented by additional technical and organizational protective measures.

10. Retention Period

  • Local game data: Remains on your device until you uninstall the App or manually delete the app data in the system settings.
  • Data held by advertising partners, Unity and stores: Stored by the respective partners (AppLovin, Google, Unity, Apple) in accordance with their own data retention policies (generally between a few days for raw logs and up to 24–36 months for aggregated reporting and billing data).
  • Support correspondence: Deleted once the matter is closed and no tax or commercial law retention periods apply.

11. Protection of Children (COPPA / Youth Protection)

BlockShooter is aimed at a general audience and is intended for users aged 13 and over.

  • The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age applicable in the respective country for independent consent under data protection law, e.g., up to 16 in some EU member states).
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
  • If you are a parent or guardian and suspect that your child under 13 has transmitted personal data to us or the advertising networks, please contact us at office@xinger.org. We will arrange for the deletion of this data without delay.

12. Your Rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR and Swiss Data Protection Law

If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the applicable data protection laws (in particular Art. 15–21 GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the revised Swiss FADP):

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request information about the personal data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You have the right to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You can request restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You can request to receive the data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you that is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future, as described in Section 5.5 (device settings or email to us).

Special note (Art. 11 GDPR): Because we do not maintain server-side user accounts and do not store personal data that directly identifies you, we generally cannot assign requests regarding device data held by advertising networks without your cooperation (e.g., providing your advertising ID). For rights concerning advertising data, you can also contact AppLovin, Google or Unity directly; we are of course happy to support you in exercising your rights.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for our registered office is:

13.2 No Sale of Data for Money / Notice on "Sale" and "Sharing"

We do not sell your personal data for monetary consideration.

Under the broad definitions of some US laws (in particular CCPA/CPRA), however, disclosing online identifiers and advertising IDs to advertising partners for the purpose of interest-based and cross-context behavioral advertising / targeted advertising may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing".

13.3 Your Rights as a US Resident

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale and Sharing / Targeted Advertising: You have the right to opt out of "sale", "sharing" and targeted advertising at any time ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"). You can exercise this right by:

In the course of using our App, we do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy if we introduce new game features, change advertising partners or the legal framework evolves.

The current version is available at any time at https://x4apps.com/blockshooter/privacy and can be opened in the App via "Privacy & Terms" in the settings. In the event of material changes, we will inform you in an appropriate manner (e.g., by a notice when the App starts).
