x4apps is a brand of Xinger Solutions GmbH.
Our approach
We process personal data only where it is needed to provide x4apps.com, where we have a legitimate interest, or where you have given your consent. The following sections describe each processing activity, its legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR and how long data is kept. We do not sell personal data.
Visiting the website
When you visit x4apps.com, your browser automatically sends technical data to our web server: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer URL, browser and operating system.
We use this data to deliver the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a security incident requires them to be kept longer.
Service providers that host the website for us act as processors on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).
No cookies, privacy-friendly web analytics
The website does not use cookies and does not store any information on your device (e.g., via local storage). Fonts are served from our own server. Links to app stores only transfer data to the store once you follow them.
For statistical analysis and continuous improvement of x4apps.com, we use the privacy-friendly, open-source analytics tool Umami.
Umami operates without cookies and does not track users across websites. To measure reach, only pseudonymized and aggregated data is collected (e.g., visited pages, referrer URL, browser type, operating system, device type, and country of origin). Your IP address is anonymized using a daily rotating hash function and is never stored in plain text. It is not possible to identify you as an individual.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis and user-oriented optimization of x4apps.com (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We host Umami on our own servers; no data is shared with third parties.
Download through app stores
Our apps are distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. When you download the app, the store operator processes data such as your account, device and payment information under its own responsibility. We have no influence on this processing. Please refer to the privacy policies of Google and Apple.
The store operators provide us with aggregated statistics, for example on downloads, ratings and app stability, which do not allow us to identify you.
Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail, we process your e-mail address, the content of your message and any information you provide in order to answer your request. The legal basis is the handling of your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in communicating with you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Storage period
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. E-mail correspondence is deleted once your request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations, for example under Austrian commercial and tax law, require us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when x4apps.com or the legal requirements change. Each update is published as a new version with the date from which it applies. Earlier versions remain available in the version history.
